Military Secrets

The convoy was moving under strict military orders, transporting a collection of classified documents, equipment, and other sensitive materials to a new storage facility. Their previous location had been decommissioned, and the transfer was considered routine.

Everything was going as expected until the convoy was ambushed. Gunfire erupted from the surrounding woodland as an unknown enemy force engaged the vehicles. As his windshield was blown out, the lead driver was forced to abandon the main road, veering deep into the forest along little more than dirt tracks. The trucks swerved violently, tearing through the dense brush before finally crashing to a halt among the trees.

In the chaos, several crates were thrown from the vehicles, scattering their contents across the forest floor. Somewhere during the crash, a sealed metal drum containing a classified chemical agent called Trioxin broke free from its restraints and rolled from the truck, disappearing deep into the woodland.

The surviving soldiers regrouped around the damaged vehicles, attempting to secure what remained of the cargo. But the firefight had already taken its toll. Several men lay dead among the wreckage, while others had vanished into the surrounding forest.

Then, the impossible happened.

One of the bodies began to move. At first, it was barely noticeable, a twitching hand, a sudden shudder, before the fallen soldier slowly rose to his feet.

Others followed. Whatever leaked from that ruptured drum had already taken effect, and the dead were no longer staying dead.

Now, this forest has become a three-way battlefield. The soldiers have formed a defensive perimeter around the wreckage, determined to recover the classified materials and locate the missing Trioxin drum.

Across the clearing, shapes are moving between the trees; the attackers have returned, drawn back by the valuable cargo they came to steal.

Neither side is willing to surrender what lies scattered across the forest floor—even as the dead begin to stir around them.
