The Story

Deep in the forgotten swamps of Hispaniola lies a dark legend. In the 19th century, a ruthless con man named Augustus Blackwell used forged contracts and armed thugs to violently steal land from local communities. Driven by relentless greed to hoard a massive fortune of gold bars, he threatened an isolated community who refused to yield. In retaliation, Voodoo spiritual leaders placed a terrifying curse upon him.

That night, Blackwell's body twisted into an unnatural nightmare. His skin hardened into rotting tree bark, and moss and vines erupted across his flesh as he transformed into the very swamp itself—a towering, monstrous entity known as The Spirit of the Bayou. After slaughtering his own men, the beast was finally trapped by a faction known as The Protectors. Using an ancient ritual, they melted part of his fortune into a Golden Idol to act as a key, while the remaining gold bars formed the physical cage holding the monster beneath the black water.

Enter Dr Montana Jones: a ruthless freelance archaeologist, black-market relic dealer, and leader of a heavily armed crew of mercenaries. Blinded by the promise of immense fortune, Montana has mapped the exact location of the hidden settlement. He has marched his loyal crew deep into the treacherous swamp, completely prepared to take the Golden Idol and the lost fortune by force.

As Montana's mercenaries breach the perimeter, the Protectors are mobilising to defend the shrine using fierce guerrilla tactics and hidden traps. However, neither side understands the terrifying reality of what they are unleashing. The gold isn't just a prize to be stolen—it is the living cage holding back a century of absolute rage. The exact moment the treasure is separated, the ancient seals will shatter, and the moss-covered beast will rise from the swamp to hunt them all down.
